Smart Transaction Systems, Inc. created the Gift & Loyalty app for merchant use.
This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal or business information of app users.
If you choose to use our Gift & Loyalty app (“the app”) then you agree to allow the app to use the camera on your device to read barcodes and QR codes. If you are using a mag-strip reader that connects to your headphone jack, you also agree to allow the Gift & Loyalty app to use the headphone (microphone) jack as an interface to the mag-stripe reader. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The app will prompt you for the name and contact information for your business. This information is stored in the app. If you are signing up as a new merchant, the same contact information will be stored on our gift & loyalty transaction processing system for reporting and/or billing purposes, but it will not be shared with any 3rd parties.
When you process gift or loyalty transactions using the app, the transaction details are stored on our servers so that we can track the balances on your customers gift or loyalty cards for you. We also use this data to provide you with reporting services. We do not share any data that you enter into our system with any 3rd parties.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No. We do not share data with any 3rd parties.
There are no pop-up ads and no advertising from 3rd parties, but the app does have a button liking you to more information about our products and services on our web page. Similar information is also displayed (one time only) if you are new to our service.
Security
In accordance with applicable legal regulations, we undertake all reasonable measures to ensure data security, although we are unable to assure that your personal information will not be subject to unauthorized access, unauthorized use or abuse. In order to ensure data security, we will in consideration of appropriate technical possibilities, ensure that only authorized persons receive access to the data for legally permissible purposes, protect stored or transmitted data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or unintended changes and unauthorized or unlawful storage or processing, unauthorized access or unauthorized or unlawful transmission, and comply with all applicable data protection provisions.
We also recommend that you take additional steps towards protecting yourself and your information, such as keeping your login information and passwords secret, and making sure you regularly update the software and apps you've downloaded.
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
